The Valet Committee is forming an INTEREST list for the 2016-2017 school year! Volunteering provides an opportunity for students and parents to establish a sense of pride and commitment at Emblem and take on an important leadership role.
In order to volunteer, students will need to be in Grade 5 or Grade 6 for the 2016-2017 school year. This is a requirement set forth by the Los Angeles Sheriffs Department. If your child will be in Grade 4 for the 2016-2017 school year, they can volunteer as a student escort to help guide younger students to the appropriate location on campus, particularly TK and Kindergarten students. Parents of students in all grades are able to volunteer. What will I do as a Valet Volunteer?
*Student volunteers in 5th & 6th grade will assist in opening and closing car doors.
*4thGrade students can escort younger students to the appropriate location on campus, particularly TK and Kindergarten students.
*Parent volunteers will open and close car doors, monitor traffic flow, and supervise student volunteers to ensure they follow the safety guidelines.
What would my commitment be?
*Sign up for as many days as you would like, at the beginning of the school year.
*Opportunity to adjust your schedule at the beginning of each month.
*Arrive by 7:25am and stay until 8:05am (students will be released by 8:00am - they will NOT be considered tardy)
*We simply ask for you and/or your child(ren) to be ready and able to help on the days you've signed up for to ensure proper coverage of the valet line
Again, we are not looking for a commitment right now. We are only forming an interest list at this time. Please email email@example.com to be placed on this interest list. Please include all of the following:parent name, parent phone number, and student name and grade in your email. Also, please indicate if you are interested in being a parent volunteer.
